About the role

• Staff Software Developer leading technological design and engineering excellence at TELUS Consumer Health. Responsible for solving strategic technical challenges across multiple teams and improving systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive architectural decisions and systems design that affect multiple teams
• Co-lead multiple complex initiatives from initial initiative planning through roll-out
• Have day-to-day responsibility working across a set of teams, problem spaces, and systems
• Design and build tools and abstractions that multiply the output of development teams
• Work closely with Product and Business leaders to give the business confidence
• Support and contribute to performance feedback and mentor engineers through onboarding

Requirements

• ~10 years of software development experience
• Expertise in a core technology or technical concept
• Proven success in leading the design and implementation of large-scope software solutions
• Extensive experience facilitating Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks
• A track record of process documentation, refinement and improvement
• Expertise with many languages, frameworks, and a wide variety of development approaches
