About the role

  • Mid-level IT Administrator at a fast-moving IT function handling day-to-day operations and supporting cloud migrations. Collaborating with stakeholders and overseeing IT support responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as first‑line IT support for internal users, including:
  • Laptop and device setup for new starters
  • Printer, Wi‑Fi, VPN, and connectivity issues
  • Software installation and troubleshooting
  • Manage and maintain IT assets and user hardware.
  • Take ownership of internal IT tickets previously handled by external support providers.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth day‑to‑day IT operations.
  • Administer **Microsoft 365**, **Azure AD / Entra ID**, and user directories.
  • Manage **single sign‑on (SSO)**, user access, and identity policies.
  • Support basic **Azure resource administration** and monitoring.
  • Assist with **Azure Functions** and related cloud services where required.
  • Support **on‑premise servers** and participate in **server and cloud migration projects**.
  • Assist with transitions from on‑prem environments to cloud platforms.
  • Contribute to system improvements, optimisations, and cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior IT leadership on infrastructure planning and execution.
  • Support testing activities during busy periods, particularly for Dynamics‑related work.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues handling Dynamics support and internal testing.
  • Be flexible in assisting with tasks outside core IT administration when required.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years’ experience in IT administration or IT support roles.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with:
  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • Azure AD / Entra ID
  • Networking fundamentals, VPNs, and SSO
  • Laptop/device provisioning and user setup
  • Experience supporting **on‑site servers** and **migration projects**.
  • Ability to work **independently** without constant supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills and a practical, delivery‑focused mindset.
  • **Working Arrangements**
  • Based near **Naas**, with office location close to public transport.
  • **3–4 days per week onsite**, coordinated with the IT Lead.
