About the role

  • Senior QA Engineer at Teckro implementing test automation for Web, Mobile, and API testing. Contribute to improving quality and efficiency in clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of Web, Mobile or API test automation to reduce manual testing efforts
  • Design of test cases from acceptance criteria
  • Review of test cases from other Quality Engineers
  • Identifies gaps in test coverage and proactively fills this gap
  • Uses different testing techniques such as exploratory, negative, integration testing
  • Ensures all test cases are traceable to Stories, Bugs etc.
  • Execution of manual test cases and reporting of results and associated defects
  • Collaborates with others on building a test approach / test strategy
  • Key advisor in the prioritisation of defects into future sprints/cycles
  • Participate in project meetings and advises on testability of items being discussed
  • Prioritises test cases for implementation using test automation
  • Executes automated test suites through GitHub/GitHub Actions and the analysis of failure cases and reproduction of failure cases
  • Escalation of critical defects found to line manager and other stakeholders
  • Be able to quantify the quality of deliverables at the end of a sprint/cycle as part of a Go/No-Go meeting
  • Capturing of objective evidence such as screenshot/log files when creating defect reports
  • Review static code scans in SonarQube for code quality
  • Provide testing estimates to ensure that sprint activities are well planned and on track

Requirements

  • Experience of working in an agile team environment
  • Strong testing experience with Web, Mobile and API based applications
  • Strong test automation experience with: Java/Kotlin with IntelliJ, RestAssured, Appium, Cucumber/Allure or similar, Git, Playwright or similar, JMeter
  • Ability to use TestRail or other test case management systems
  • Ability to use different testing techniques as and when needed
  • Ability to produce a testing report including manual and automated tests
  • Understanding of nonfunctional testing, specifically performance and security
  • Ability to manage risk, when it relates to level of testing needed
  • Adaptable to new circumstances
  • Takes ownership for the QA activities for the agile squad
  • Collaborative and great communicator
  • Ability to work under pressure on own initiative
  • Experience of coaching and leading more junior quality engineers
