About the role
- Electrical Designer responsible for designing industrial control systems at University of Manitoba. Interpreting requirements, designing panels, and ensuring quality adherence in fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Interpretation of customer requirements, project related drawings and specifications.
- Control system design including PLCs, motor controls, control circuits and instrumentation.
- Component identification, verification, and selection for the design.
- Control panel fabrication and design drawings using AutoCAD.
- Control panel fabrication instructions and the related Bill of Materials.
- Preparation of submittal documents, completion of O&M manuals.
- Verification and test of fabricated control panels to ensure adherence to the design.
- Modification of design drawings and related information to match the As-Shipped design and As-Built drawings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be fluent in reading, speaking, and writing English.
- Knowledge and ability to use AutoCad & Microsoft Office programs.
- Understanding of electric circuits.
- Basic understanding of motor control circuits.
