About the role

  • Leading the risk strategy for banking fraud and scams at Barclays. Collaborating on mitigating risks and ensuring secure customer journeys in digital banking.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Risk Function by identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks.
  • Develop strategic direction for risk and oversee the risk department.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure adherence to risk policies.
  • Advise key stakeholders on risk-related matters and collaborate with other teams.
  • Create solutions based on analytical thought and extensive research.

Requirements

  • Considerable background in fraud, digital fraud, risk mitigation including open banking and digital verification.
  • Proven experience developing strategies against 3rd party fraud, preferably in digital channels.
  • Considerable background in fraud, digital fraud, risk mitigation including personal, business, wealth and private premier banking.
  • Demonstrable change management experience in a customer and risk-centric focused role.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience, with the ability to influence in a consulting capacity at Director & Managing Director level.
  • Previous experience leading strategic change.
  • Previous experience with vendor and regulator management.
  • Strategy experience.
  • Knowledge of the mobile banking app and online banking processes.
