About the role

  • Manager of Strategic Initiatives at PJM, collaborating with Executive Team to execute strategic initiatives. Drive strategic goals and ensure successful outcomes in the power industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage strategic initiatives, including the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Support a periodic review of strategic objectives (e.g. annually) and make informed recommendations for any adjustments to strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives
  • Monitor and track the progress of strategic initiatives, ensuring they stay on track and align with the company's strategic objectives
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, results, and recommendations to PJM leadership
  • Identify and mitigate risks and obstacles that may arise during the implementation of strategic initiatives
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in strategic initiative planning and execution

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administrator or at least 10 years of experience technical leadership, project management, or other leadership roles
  • At least 10 years of work experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects or initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Experience using verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
