About the role
- Group Manager Safety Affairs leading a team in compliance with European safety regulations. Overseeing SDB preparation and customer inquiries at Takasago Europe GmbH.
Responsibilities
- Lead the “Safety Affairs” group (currently 5 employees)
- Responsible for implementing regulations related to the European Chemicals Regulation, the CLP Regulation and other applicable legislation
- Responsible for and coordinating the processing, data maintenance and classification of new developments as well as regular re-calculations for existing products
- Preparation and release of Safety Data Sheets for authorities, customers and maintaining the SDS data status in the IT system
- Handle and respond to customer inquiries and questions from authorities
- Responsible for and coordinating notifications to the poison control center
- Continuous development and optimization of processes and structures in conjunction with the IT system
Requirements
- Completed degree in natural sciences (Bachelor/Master) or comparable training in hazardous substances/hazardous goods management and professional experience in the relevant field
- Experience in preparing and managing Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Very good knowledge and application of the Chemicals Regulation, CLP and other applicable regulations in this area
- Confident user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SAP
- Careful and structured working method with a high attention to detail
- Good communication skills and service orientation in dealing with internal and external contacts
- Excellent German and English skills, spoken and written
