About the role

  • IAM Security Ops Analyst overseeing access management for clinical trial applications at Syneos Health. Collaborating with IT and compliance teams to enforce IAM policies and improve operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact between UAM and business users to facilitate timely resolution of access management requests.
  • Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions within clinical trial management applications, ensuring compliance with approved SOPs/WIs.
  • Track and report on key operational metrics such as ticket volumes, ageing, SLA adherence, and escalation trends and provide recommendations to improve service quality and operational performance.
  • Support the creation, review, and maintenance of controlled UAM documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and process flows ensuring compliance with organizational policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards (e.g., GxP or equivalent).
  • Collaborate with IT security, clinical operations, and compliance teams to develop and enforce IAM policies and procedures tailored to clinical research environments.
  • Support audits and investigations by providing accurate user access reports and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing automation for user lifecycle management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 3+ years of experience in IAM, with a focus on user management for healthcare or clinical research applications required.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial management systems (e.g., Medidata, Oracle CTMS, Veeva Vault, etc.) and relevant regulatory framework.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes including incident, request, and change management required and proficiency with ServiceNow preferred.
  • Solid understanding of IAM principles, account provisioning, and security policies a plus.
  • Strong analysis, problem solving, and customer service skills required.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
