About the role

  • VP of M&A Integration leading due diligence and governance processes at Synchrony. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration and operational continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Mergers & Acquisition team to support due diligence process, define integration strategy and guiding principles, and manage comprehensive integration plan.
  • Support due diligence, manage data room(s), coordinate with target companies, manage data requests, track request execution, analyze data across functions to identify risks and gaps, plan and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders, and create due diligence reports/dashboards.
  • Manage end-to-end integration for acquisitions, from pre-close planning through execution and stabilization.
  • Lead integration project management for each deal and oversee cross-functional workstreams.
  • Serve as the central point of accountability for integration planning, cross-functional interdependencies, sequencing, and progress, ensuring timelines and commitments are met.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and corporate governance policies and manage deal governance processes and reporting throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Assess and effectively communicate integration progress, risks, and milestones to stakeholders, senior leaders, and integration/steering committees.
  • Manage or support broader enterprise and/or BS&D projects/initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of equivalent work experience in the Financial Services or related field; OR in lieu of degree, High School Diploma / GED and 8+ years experience in Financial Services or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Minimum 3 years managing cross-functional initiatives
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office product suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel 20-30 %
  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
