About the role
- Junior Underwriting Expert contributing to underwriting governance and process improvement in Property & Casualty Reinsurance. Collaborating with senior colleagues and analyzing operational frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Support key underwriting governance activities and contribute to initiatives that improve operations across P&C Re business
- Analyze processes, enhance frameworks, and help embed underwriting standards
- Manage topics related to Underwriting Standards, including preparing assessments and coordinating change requests
- Design and maintain documentation, guidelines, and materials that support underwriting governance
- Contribute to Learning & Development initiatives by developing content, gathering feedback, and leading rollout activities
- Collaborate with Lines of Business and other stakeholders to ensure consistent application of underwriting standards and processes
Requirements
- 1-3 years' experience in re-/insurance, Underwriting, Governance, risk, or a related analytical role
- Basic understanding of UW tasks, reinsurance wordings, underwriting processes (or strong motivation to learn)
- Good analytical skills and comfortable working with data to support insights and decisions
- Strong communication and collaboration with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks with guidance
- Business fluency in English
