- Responsible for accounting activities including the preparation of monthly reports
- Perform various calculations and accruals
- Maintain GL integrity and attend team meetings
- Work with various departments throughout the company
- Perform month-end financial accounting tasks including accrual calculations
- Prepare monthly reports, lead sheets, and aged accounts payable report
- Handle intercompany reconciliations and journal entries
- Reclass prepaid expenses and post amortization entries in Business Central
- Update Fixed Asset workbooks and complete amortization entries
- Review general ledgers for discrepancies
- Assist with IFRS 16 lease journal entries
- Support the review of revenue and costs in the Projects module
- Build efficiencies within the D365 Business Central environment
- Implement automation and AI tools to improve processes
- Assist with the annual external audit
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting roles
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire and ability to work collaboratively
- Good understanding of accounting principles and theory
- Familiarity with accounting software (Business Central an asset)
- Experience with productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Great customer service skills working with other departments and external customers.
