About the role
- Engineer R&D Electrical Engineering contributing to sustainable technology at Sunfire in Dresden. Responsible for electrical design and hardware component development in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Electrical design and development on site at Gasanstaltstraße 2 in alignment with requirements from Product Management and System Development
- Sizing of switchgear combinations and preparation of bills of materials for cost estimation
- Development of hardware components and execution of tests on low-voltage systems
- Verification of technical correctness of parts, circuit diagrams, drawings, and documents
- Ensuring complete documentation of all work steps
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or relevant professional experience
- At least 2–3 years of professional experience in these areas
- Good knowledge of normative requirements and electrical design software such as ETAP
- Responsible, communicative, and flexible personality
- Good German and English skills, both written and spoken (minimum level B2)
- Experience in mechanical or plant engineering is an advantage
