About the role
- Senior Electrical Engineer resolving electrical issues in hardware development and manufacturing for connected fitness equipment. Collaborating with engineers to improve system reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to new product development as well as improvements to existing designs, including reliability improvements and cost reduction efforts.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues found in production and in the field.
- Perform electrical design work including schematic capture, PCB layout, and BOM management.
- Travel to manufacturing partners in Asia as needed.
- Support EMC and safety certification efforts for US and EU regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience developing electronics in the consumer or medical device spaces.
- Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams and maintain clear documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment, take ownership of technical problems, and contribute wherever needed to move work forward.
- Experience with electronics assembly, rework, and repair.
- Experience bringing up and debugging electrical designs using typical laboratory equipment.
- Experience integrating electronics into complex mechanical assemblies.
- Experience designing PCBs using schematic capture and layout EDA tools such as KiCad or Altium.
- Familiarity with certification testing procedures.
