About the role
- Electrical Design Support Co-op at S&C Electric responsible for MV Switchgear design and Protection & Control system design assisting the engineering team with practical design tasks maintaining project efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Upgrade and maintain process software used for MES design and production control, which is developed with Visual Basic.
- Assist the engineering team in preparing drawings and wiring diagrams as needed.
Requirements
- Enrolled in an Electrical, Computer or Nanotechnology Engineering degree program.
- Available to work the Summer 2026, 4-month co-op work term.
- Self-starter with excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Fast learner with an aptitude for learning other company-specific software.
- Proficient with Microsoft software, specifically Excel, Word and MS Project.
- Programming skills with Visual Basic required.
- Knowledge of other software languages would be an asset.
