Responsibilities
Join a collaborative team of engineers and scientists reviewing and providing input on projects from planning through permitting
Work closely with internal programs-Operations, Compliance, Capacity Development, and Water Resources-to help communities implement sustainable, resilient drinking water projects in compliance with the Water Supply Rule
Apply your engineering skills to protect public health and the environment
Provide technical and regulatory assistance to water systems and their consultants
Conduct field site visits to observe construction and operation of water systems.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental, sanitary, chemical, water resources, civil or mechanical engineering or a related field
Four (4) or more years of experience in in a related engineering field OR one (1) year or more of experience as an Environmental Engineer VI or two (2) years or more as an Environmental Engineer V
Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of drinking water planning, treatment, and distribution
The ability to critically review engineering drawings, specifications, hydraulic analysis, and preliminary engineering reports with attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with sound judgment and professional tact
