About the role

  • Finance Manager overseeing financial operations, accounting, and budget for Housing and Dining at student affairs. Supervising teams and ensuring compliance with fiscal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • supervise the Housing & Dining Financial Customer Services Team
  • provide financial accounting and analysis for the university’s Housing and Dining System
  • prepare, reconcile, and analyze general ledger entries
  • extract data from the university accounting system and import data into Quickbooks
  • analyze compliance with fiscal policies and procedures
  • provide training to prevent further issues
  • prepare data analysis and summary reporting for decision-making purposes
  • develop, implement and maintain financial reporting systems
  • assist in developing and refining the operating budget

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • at least one (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Experience with a desktop accounting system such as QuickBooks
  • Experienced in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Experience extracting data from general ledger accounting systems and providing analysis using tools such as Excel and/or Access.
