About the role
- SDET responsible for automating testing processes to ensure confidence in deliverables for SaaS applications at Storyteq. Collaborating with development teams to enhance Quality Engineering efforts.
Responsibilities
- Build out automated test efforts and test processes in the domain supported
- Automate critical API flows, coaching developers on best test automation practices
- Research and implement solutions for Quality Engineering efforts
- Guide teams on modern best practices of testing to identify and resolve gaps in test coverage
- Automate API critical flows to improve confidence in deliverables
- Work within the domain team to implement shared ownership of test tooling and test process improvements
- Develop quality and testing culture towards long-term goal of test autonomy
- Reduce manual testing as a dependency for deliverables to be Prod ready
Requirements
- Have at least 4+ years of experience working with Playwright/RestAssured/Bruno/Postman/Karate or other modern API testing framework
- Have experience testing REST/GraphQL APIs and know how to increase coverage of tests within the API layer
- Understand how to scope necessary test coverage at each layer of the test trophy
- Appreciate the pivotal role test data architecture plays in robust automated test implementations
- Are autonomous and can think of and contribute structural improvements/fixes to test tooling and processes
- You are a collaborative team player, don’t shy away from a good faith debate over the merit of your ideas
- You’re proactive, result driven and excited to work in a fast-growing tech scale-up
- Great English communication skills (this is a must)
