About the role

  • Experienced QA Manager at Stormind Games overseeing quality assurance for game projects. Ensuring compliance with high standards and collaborating closely with production and development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Bugboard (Jira or similar), classifying tickets by priority, severity, and type.
  • Manage builds on Cloud platforms (e.g., Steamworks) and coordinate the Build Pipeline.
  • Act as a contact point ('glue') between Production, Development, Marketing, and Publishing, supporting Producers in priority management.
  • Coordinate QA Department Leads and Testers, and maintain relationships with external partners' QA, Production, and Release Management teams.
  • Maintain a 360° view of the product to identify structural deficiencies and propose solutions in agreement with Design.
  • Monitor user sentiment via official channels (Steam, YouTube, etc.), coordinate with support for technical troubleshooting, and use multimedia tools (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Audacity) for advanced video/audio reporting.
  • Actively collaborate with all departments to deeply understand game mechanics, suggesting improvements regarding User Experience and supporting any team member in fixing or optimization activities, whether specific or generalist.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of QA experience, including 2+ years in leadership or management roles.
  • Strong expertise in FQA and CQA; basic LQA knowledge (native language + English)
  • Proven release experience on AA or AAA titles
  • At least 1 title as QA Manager, OR At least 2 titles as QA Lead / QA Project Lead
  • Proven experience in using Development Hardware (Devkit/Testkit) and related software SDKs/Tools for Sony (PS5), Microsoft (Xbox Series X|S, GDK/XDK), and Nintendo (Switch NDK) platforms
  • Mastery of the Steam ecosystem (Steamworks, backend management, Client, and console commands) is also required
  • Advanced use of the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) for tracking and documentation, combined with excellent command of the Google Workspace (including Google Cloud) and Microsoft 365 suites
  • Familiarity with versioning systems such as Git (including clients like Fork/Bitbucket) and Perforce (P4V).
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment systems such as Jenkins and TeamCity
  • Basic ability to use the Unreal Engine editor and advanced navigation in the Windows environment (PC-Win64), including management via command line (CMD/PowerShell) and remote administration (RDP, VPN, Server Proxy).
  • Use of software for audio/video capture and analysis (e.g., OBS) to support bug reporting.
