About the role
- Intermediate Water Resources Engineer focusing on mining in a multidisciplinary team environment. Lead studies, assessments, and investigations with a commitment to health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage watershed characterization studies, flood plain mapping, environmental impact assessments, coastal and river engineering, and channel design projects
- Conduct hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling
- Lead field investigations including water quality sampling, hydrometric measurements, data management and analysis
- Review of detailed design drawings
- Development of work plans and cost estimates;
- Technical report preparation and writing
- Working efficiently in a team environment
- Perform tasks, as requested, efficiently and accurately, using standard methods and techniques
Requirements
- Graduate degree from an Engineering or Science program, with an emphasis on water resources and hydrology
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in consulting or regulatory environment, regularly using and analyzing water quality and quantity data
- Professional registration with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO)
- Valid G-class driver’s license required
