Responsibilities
- Provide mine engineering and financial expertise through strong operational and project-based experience.
- Assist in developing and expanding our service offerings with new and existing clients.
- Manage tasks and direct and develop our staff as required.
- Capability to develop project budgets, determine project scope, establish schedules, process appropriate paperwork, and interacting with clients.
- Ability and desire to engage in business development (e.g. develop proposals and identify project opportunities) with a focus on external relationships and key clients globally.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mining, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Consulting is an asset
- Currently licensed as a P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) in the province of British Columbia
- Proficiency in the use of planning software programs such as MineSight, Deswik, Whittle or similar packages.
- Ability to direct others in the use of efficiency and financial programs such as Excel, Deswik, GoldSim, or similar packages.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills demonstrable through the reporting and presentation process.
- Attention to detail and strong QA/QC skills.
- Understanding of project related risks.
- An existing and well-established network within the mining industry is a plus.
- The ability to demonstrate innovation within the mining process in past projects or roles.
