Responsibilities
Provide mine engineering and financial expertise through strong operational and project-based experience.
Assist in developing and expanding our service offerings with new and existing clients.
Manage tasks and direct and develop our staff as required.
Capability to develop project budgets, determine project scope, establish schedules, process appropriate paperwork, and interacting with clients.
Ability and desire to engage in business development (e.g. develop proposals and identify project opportunities) with a focus on external relationships and key clients globally.
Requirements
B.Sc. in Mining, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering
Minimum of 12 years of experience in Consulting is an asset
Currently licensed as a P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) in the province of British Columbia
Proficiency in the use of planning software programs such as MineSight, Deswik, Whittle or similar packages.
Ability to direct others in the use of efficiency and financial programs such as Excel, Deswik, GoldSim, or similar packages.
Strong technical writing and communication skills demonstrable through the reporting and presentation process.
Attention to detail and strong QA/QC skills.
Understanding of project related risks.
An existing and well-established network within the mining industry is a plus.
The ability to demonstrate innovation within the mining process in past projects or roles.
