About the role
- Transportation Engineer leading municipal transportation design projects for public sector clients across Ontario. Collaborating with project teams and managing quality design and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Directing roadway design staff, and managing multi-discipline project teams
- Financial management of projects including budget forecasting, resource management, change-order management, and client invoicing
- Developing proposals, budgets and schedules, and on-going business development and liaison with clients
- Collaborating with Transportation Leaders and other Project Managers to identify staffing, equipment, and training requirements
- Supporting the Stantec Quality Management System, and promoting Stantec’s Environmental Health & Safety program
- Ensuring that the required functions of the project are satisfactorily performed
- Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Building a strong culture of quality design and teamwork
Requirements
- University or college degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in the field of road design and construction
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or LEL) is required
- Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience with project management or engineering design responsibilities
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and customer relationship skills are essential
- Experienced in AutoCAD, Microstation and OpenRoads or Civil 3D software will set you apart from your peer group
- Experienced in report and proposal writing
- Experienced roadway design
