About the role
- Business Analyst in the BPM team at Stantec, engaging with stakeholders to translate business needs into system solutions. Collaborating on projects and participating in user acceptance testing.
Responsibilities
- engage project teams to understand client needs
- capture business decisions and requirements in a detailed manner
- analyze business processes to identify pain-points, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- develop a solid understanding of the Oracle delivered business processes as part of the Hire to Retire lifecycle within Oracle Fusion HCM
- conduct workshops to elicit business requirements
- participate in refining system solutions and demonstrate system functions/features to business
- facilitate and coordinate user acceptance testing
- participate in testing activities such as test case creation, test execution, and issue resolution
- support cross-functional programs and projects that may include IT, Dashboards and Reporting, Payroll, Finance, Project Accounting, and other areas as required
- follow BPM practices and guidelines
- work with colleagues to improve those practices and guidelines
- assist with day-to-day operational issues
- adhere to Stantec policies and practices
Requirements

- Basic understanding of Oracle Fusion HCM modules such as Core HR, Recruiting etc. or similar ERP applications such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Ceridian, UKG
- Experience as a Business Analyst in a large organization (preferred)
- Experience with documentation and work tracking tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft Office suite (preferred)
- Experience building test cases and performing testing with tools such as QTest (preferred)
- Experience with agile development practices (preferred)
- Post-secondary degree, ideally related to Business or Management Information Systems
