About the role

  • Consultant supporting infrastructure funding and compliance for North American clients. Involves analytical tasks, project delivery, and client collaboration in capital planning.

Responsibilities

  • Support and deliver consulting engagements focused on infrastructure capital planning, funding, policy, and compliance.
  • Analyze complex financial, policy, and organizational challenges related to capital improvement planning, funding strategies, and infrastructure delivery.
  • Prepare high-quality, publicly facing deliverables including memoranda, written reports, technical analyses, and presentations.
  • Participate and lead funding program initiatives, including research and policy analysis of federal, state, and local funding.
  • Undertake policy and funding impact analysis related to infrastructure investment decisions.
  • Develop quantitative models and scenario analyses using Microsoft Excel.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and experience with infrastructure projects, policy analysis, funding programs and financial analysis.
  • Direct work experience/history with government agencies, including local, state, or federal entities and utilities.
  • Elements of project management experience, including preparing and managing project scope, schedule, team activities, communication, and deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with, acquiring, and analyzing large data sets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel including quantitative modeling and analysis.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro and other business systems required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter capable of efficiently and proactively working independently as well as with a geographically dispersed team on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail as deliverables are open to public review and scrutiny.
  • Willing to travel as needed, with travel up to 25% in the first year, potentially increasing.
