About the role

  • Lead the planning department in energy and telecommunications company in Elmshorn. Focus on network design, project management, and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of the Planning department, currently with 12 employees, responsible for network and asset planning as well as network documentation
  • Further development of asset management and the supply concept
  • Analysis, optimization and implementation of network and asset strategies
  • Preparation of business and investment plans to manage the division's results
  • Responsibility for planning, project engineering, construction supervision and financial settlement of measures
  • Drafting and negotiating service agreements for investment and maintenance measures
  • Responsibility for the training of our dual-study students in the technical field
  • Independent participation in associations (e.g. VSHEW), projects and taking on special tasks
  • Active participation in our fault/incident management

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering or Energy/Utilities Engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of practical experience in planning, asset management and project engineering in utility/energy supply technology — preferably with an energy network operator or a consulting engineering firm in building services
  • Leadership experience, ideally also in project management roles
  • Proven ability to prepare and present complex technical topics for different target groups and to facilitate discussion rounds
  • Self-motivation, business acumen and cross-functional thinking, as well as flexibility and strong commitment
  • Good communication skills when dealing with customers, employees and colleagues — also in critical situations
  • Availability at short notice by establishing residence in the Elmshorn supply area or its surrounding municipalities
  • Driving license class B required
