About the role
- Network Engineer maintaining a global network for high-performance trading infrastructure. Engaging in 2nd/3rd level support and engineering for performance, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities
- Planning, deployment and operation of our LAN, DMZ and WAN environments
- Configuration and operation of routers, switches and firewalls as well as routing/security (e.g. VLAN, BGP, IPsec, ACLs, Multicast)
- Establishing and maintaining secure connections to exchanges and connectivity providers, and troubleshooting complex network paths
- Participation in hardware rollouts, site connectivity and architecture optimizations
- Advancing monitoring/observability, evaluating new technologies and actively sharing knowledge
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience operating complex networks (2nd/3rd level)
- Solid knowledge of routing, switching, firewalling and network security
- Excellent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
