About the role
- Security Architect designing and assuring coastal surveillance solutions at SRT Marine Systems. Collaborating with teams to integrate security throughout product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Identify and integrate security requirements throughout product and system development lifecycle.
- Use knowledge of the threat landscape to advise on security risks for hybrid and on-premise systems.
- Provide coaching for customer support team to ensure customers implement secure operational processes.
- Work with customer project delivery teams and directly with customers to ensure deployed systems are secure and robust, and operating policies are in place to maintain security.
- Support incident response for security events affecting products and systems.
- Develop and execute on a roadmap to ISO27001 or equivalent certification for development organisation.
- Develop and maintain documentation required to support certification.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging threats & coach development teams on best practice and security trends.
- Lead security vendor evaluations.
Requirements
- Proven track record in leading cyber security architecture or security engineering roles within the Defence, Critical Infrastructure or National Security sectors.
- Familiar with ISO 27001/2 and NIST frameworks and able to evidence involvement in achieving certification.
- Technical depth with hands on knowledge of hybrid & on-prem system security, IAM, container & API security, network segmentation, encryption and DevSecOps toolchains.
- Proactive and tenacious, able to effectively communicate security requirements and risks to both technical and non technical colleagues.
- Pragmatic and collaborative approach to security architecture with experience working alongside development teams across desktop, web, mobile and backend development.
