About the role
- Strategic Sourcing Lead developing and executing sourcing strategies to optimize costs at SPX. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity and supplier performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category-level sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead supplier selection, RFQ/RFP processes, negotiations, and contract development.
- Identify cost-reduction, value engineering, and total cost of ownership (TCO) opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and strategic partners.
- Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity, lead time, and geopolitical exposure.
- Drive supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Engineering and Operations on NPI, dual sourcing, and alternate qualification.
- Ensure sourcing decisions meet quality, compliance, and sustainability requirements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience leading complex negotiations and supplier strategy development.
- Strong analytical, financial, and contract management skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience in manufacturing, electronics, or regulated industries preferred.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required.
