About the role
- Risk Intern working on data-driven projects across Operational, Divisional, and Technology Risk at S&P Global. Engaging in analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Participate in several projects across the Operational Risk, Divisional Risk, Technology Risk, and Corporate Compliance, as needed.
- Assist in analyzing data to identify trends and insights that can be used in driving business decisions.
- Support the full cycle risk reporting process from data gathering, cleansing, validation, analysis, and presentation.
- Identify and resolve complex problems using data, evidence, and subject matter expertise.
- Help to proactively track and challenge commitments to risk metric areas in Technology, Business Continuity, Cyber Security, Talent & Culture, and Data Quality.
- Review risk assessment processes for vendors and identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and synergies across functions.
- Work with global partners to manage due diligence requests, prepare risk assessment responses, and create risk artifacts.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative and/or Business field from an accredited college or university
- Coursework in Risk Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Mathematics, or other related fields
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in teams, analytical mindset, attention to details, and excellent communications skills
- Highly self-motivated, results driven, and intellectually curious
- Interested in data, technology, analytical, and quantitative type work.
- Previous experience in risk management, financial services, consulting, or analytical field is a plus.
