Responsibilities
Act as the primary analyst for housing credits of varying size and complexity, demonstrating expertise in public finance housing sector analysis.
Prepare comprehensive analyses for internal rating committee presentations and external publication, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Oversee annual surveillance activities for your assigned portfolio of credits, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery.
Actively participate in rating committees as a contributing team member, providing well-reasoned analytical perspectives.
Write rating summaries and analytical reports that synthesize complex analysis into clear, well-supported conclusions demonstrating mastery of S&P methodologies and financial markets understanding.
Communicate rating results and analysis effectively to diverse stakeholders including clients, financial intermediaries, investors, and media, while publishing timely industry commentaries and thought leadership pieces.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree in business, public policy, public administration, or related field preferred)
2+ years of extensive experience related to Public Finance, with Public Finance Housing sector experience preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work effectively under general guidance while exercising decision-making authority.
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, with ability to integrate and communicate complex information within the public finance specialization.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment while thriving in independent work situations.
Strong time management and organizational skills with consistent ability to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines.
