About the role
- Lead procurement activities within projects, ensuring value added and timely sourcing of materials and services
- Partner with R&D and Engineering to integrate procurement strategies into product design and development
- Support VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) initiatives to drive cost optimization and continuous improvement
- Negotiate supplier contracts and manage relationships to deliver innovation, quality, and savings
- Maintain accurate material master data in SAP through the design and development phases
- Promote sustainable sourcing practices and contribute to Sonova’s digital procurement evolution
- Collaborate globally to align sourcing plans with business objectives and category strategies
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a commercial or technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in direct procurement and project-based sourcing
- 3+ years of project management experience including problem solving and critical thinking
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship skills
- Solid understanding of target costing, supplier development, and value engineering
- Experience using SAP, Ariba, Power BI, and digital collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MIRO)
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Curious and forward-thinking — an AI enthusiast
- PMP, MCIPS, IPMA or MBA qualification and experience in Medical, Automotive, or Technology industries are an advantage
