Senior Industrial Designer leading design projects for Hearing Aids, Chargers, and Accessories at Sonova. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create user-centered product solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead and execute hardware product design projects (Hearing Aids, Chargers, Accessories) throughout the full user-centered design process, from early concept to implementation
Design 3D product models (Cad) and physical interfaces to create outstanding user experiences
Innovate at the ecosystem level, ensuring seamless integration of Hearing Aids and Chargers across the Sonova product portfolio for both B2C and B2B users
Ensure that created product designs align with global design principles and guidelines defined at the group level
Create and evaluate 3D mockups with users, refining UX based on user insights and feedback
Collaborate closely with User & Market Insights teams to incorporate research findings into design iterations
Work with Product Marketing and R&D to gather requirements efficiently and translate them into actionable, implementation-ready design specifications for engineering teams
Support stakeholder management and collaboration with business partners to ensure alignment and smooth execution
Requirements
University degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a similar field
6+ years of experience designing physical products in an international environment
Strong experience with user-centered design methodologies and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Experience managing design projects end-to-end, including coordinating multiple stakeholders
Solid understanding of hardware development and ability to translate insights into clear design requirements
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail
Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage complexity and multiple priorities
Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhinoceros), rendering software (e.g., KeyShot), and 2D design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Fluent English language skills
