Privacy Manager within Sonova’s global Data Privacy team ensuring GDPR compliance. Collaborating with multiple functions to navigate privacy challenges.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with GDPR, EMEA, and other global privacy laws, monitoring regulatory changes and assessing their impact
Lead privacy risk assessments (DPIAs, TIAs, LIAs) and implement effective mitigation strategies
Conduct audits and monitoring activities to ensure adherence to privacy policies and frameworks
Draft and update privacy documentation — including policies, notices, and Data Protection Addendums (DPAs)
Support data subject rights management and breach response processes in collaboration with key stakeholders
Partner closely with teams such as HR, R&D, IT, and Marketing to embed privacy principles in business operations
Stay informed on emerging privacy topics, including the implications of AI technologies on data protection
Requirements
Master’s degree in Law, Data Protection, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
4+ years of experience in privacy management, ideally in the medical or healthcare sector
Strong knowledge of GDPR, EMEA privacy regulations, and health data processing
Proven ability to conduct privacy risk assessments and compliance monitoring activities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach
Proficiency in English; German language skills are an advantage
Recognized privacy certifications (CIPP, CIPM, or equivalent) are highly desirable
