About the role

  • Data Engineer responsible for managing data architecture and pipelines at Snappi, a neobank. Collaborating with teams to enable data processing and analysis in innovative banking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for ingesting, processing, and storing large volumes of data.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build and optimize data models and schemas for efficient storage and retrieval of data.
  • Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data integrity, reliability, and performance.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance data processing capabilities and improve efficiency.
  • Document data pipelines, processes, and solutions to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
  • Work closely with infrastructure and DevOps teams to deploy and manage data systems in cloud environments.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Computer Science or Electronics or equivalent work experience in the field of Data.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role (7+ preferred, 3-5 preferred for junior role).
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, with preferrable knowledge of Azure Data Factor.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, negotiation, presentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Keen eye on detail.
  • Ability in decision making, problem analysis and problem solving.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Problem solving attitude.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Passionate about agile software processes, data driven development, reliability, and experimentation and experience working in a collaborative Agile product team will be considered as extra assets.
