About the role
- Senior Data Platform Consultant focusing on Snowflake and DBT at Snap in Pune, India. Drive data solutions and mentor teams while collaborating with clients and stakeholders for project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop go-to-market products and accelerators to support project delivery.
- Collaborate with Snowflake on commercials and strategic partnerships.
- Work with Snap leadership to design training programs and keep the team up to date with new features.
- Share knowledge internally through workshops and proactively communicate new Snowflake releases.
- Represent Snap at external events and contribute to thought leadership.
- Lead design and architecture for client data solutions, gathering requirements and managing senior stakeholders.
- Get hands-on with coding and building data pipelines when needed.
- Mentor junior team members and help them overcome technical challenges.
- Deliver end-to-end data analytics projects working with large datasets (100GB+).
- If experienced and willing, you’ll take on line management responsibilities for a small team, nurturing and developing talent.
Requirements
- Snowflake Expertise: Extensive enterprise cloud data platform experience with a strong Snowflake focus (ideally 6+ years working with Snowflake)
- DBT Knowledge: At least 1-2 years of hands-on DBT experience.
- Experience across both the application and administration sides of Snowflake.
- Proven track record delivering end-to-end data projects and overcoming complex data challenges (e.g., rewriting business logic).
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to contribute to pre-sales and RFPs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A start-up mentality: adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
- Willingness to support projects beyond Snowflake and DBT (e.g., Matillion, DPC).
