About the role

  • Oracle PL/SQL Developer on Fidelity's Alternate Investment Team. Developing high-quality solutions and ensuring operational stability in the cloud with a focus on secure, scalable systems.

Responsibilities

  • Help build and maintain high-quality solutions that support the Alternate Investment business
  • Responsible for developing secure, scalable systems and ensuring operational stability in the cloud
  • Design, build, and support solutions for Alternate Investments
  • Collaborate with a diverse group that follows Agile principles to deliver impactful technology

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer
  • Strong RDBMS skills including: SQL querying, Stored procedures, Triggers, functions, views, User and object privileges
  • Proven experience in performance tuning of stored procedures and queries
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools such as SQL Loader
  • Experience in Linux/Unix environments and basic command-line usage
  • Agile methodology experience and team collaboration
  • Knowledge of: Core Java and Python (nice to have), Scheduling tools like Control-M (nice to have)
  • Experience in database modeling and design
  • AWS Cloud experience and familiarity with services like Amazon RDS (preferred)
  • Strong data analysis and coding skills, especially in the financial industry
  • Understanding of financial industry terminology and workflows
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Quick learner with a proactive attitude and a focus on delivering end-to-end solutions.
