About the role

• Engineering Lead at Fidelity managing a team for the Trades and Asset Servicing Technology. Focus on modernization of brokerage platform and strategic development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Join Fidelity Investments as an Engineering Leader on the Trades and Asset Servicing Technology team.
• Lead an innovative group of software engineers, work alongside Product leaders, and drive strategic research and development efforts.
• Build a high-performing team centered on attracting, developing, and aligning talent to consistently deliver exceptional results.
• Define and complete strategic roadmaps in partnership with Group Engineering Leader.
• Ensure stability of high-volume legacy systems while transitioning to a high-performance, cloud-native platform.
• Support common platform features such as self-service onboarding and ability to scale to support unexpected future volume demands.

Requirements

• With over 10 years in software engineering, ideally 5 years in a leadership role at a FinTech or Tier-1 Investment bank.
• Skilled in modern programming languages and frameworks, such as AWS, Oracle RDS, Java, Kafka and/or other streaming technology.
• Expertise includes CI/CD pipelines, EKS, Docker, Jenkins, Udeploy, GitHub, Stash, Artifactory, and Terraform.
• Successfully maintained 99.99% availability for large-scale systems processing millions of transactions.
• Agile experience, along with Jira and Jira Align, is preferred.
• Data-focused, translating strategic goals into action, and adept at identifying and removing impediments to progress.
