About the role

  • Director, Advanced Planning serving high net worth clients at Fidelity. Providing comprehensive financial and estate planning support as part of a regionally-aligned Advanced Planning team.

Responsibilities

  • serve primarily as an estate planning subject matter authority for Fidelity’s high net worth clients and their advisors
  • support the Vice President, Advanced Planning Market Lead to provide advisor training, regional business development and thought leadership
  • collaborate within the Advanced Planning team both virtually and in-person to maintain and increase our collective impact on the clients we serve
  • travel is typically expected between 5% and 20% of time

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with any of the following designations preferred: CPA, JD, M.T., LLM in taxation
  • 10 -12 years overall work experience with 4 years of trusts and estate planning, income tax planning or succession planning work experience within a public accounting, law practice, or wealth management industry environment
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 obtained within 90-days of employment
  • Estate Planning, family wealth transfer planning, wills/trusts, income taxation, and trust and estate taxation knowledge (required)
  • Retirement, financial, investment, and insurance planning preferred
