About the role

  • Associate Consultant providing actuarial advice on defined benefit plans in a fast-paced, team-centric environment. Supporting clients in managing their employee benefits programs efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice to clients regarding their benefit programs with an initial emphasis in defined benefit plans
  • Work on annual pension actuarial valuations to determine cash and accounting requirements
  • Support merger and acquisition transactions as they impact corporate benefit programs
  • Help clients efficiently lead their employee benefits programs from a financial, compliance, and communications perspective
  • Develop custom micro sites for a wide range of corporate compensation and benefits needs

Requirements

  • Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Quantitative subject major strongly preferred
  • Successful completion of at least one actuarial exam toward earning an A.S.A. credential
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communications skills
  • Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and willingness to be innovative
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective listening, communication, and presentation skills
  • A high aptitude to learn new things quickly and adapt to new situations
  • Desire for a fast paced and collaborative work environment
  • Resourcefulness, organization, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
