About the role
- Director of Global Treasury overseeing debt financing and capital structure for J.R. Simplot Company. Partnering with executives on financial strategies in a privately held global agriculture leader.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Treasurer to analyze, structure, negotiate, and execute domestic and international debt facilities.
- Evaluate market conditions and develop recommendations.
- Own ongoing compliance with domestic and international credit agreements.
- Collaborate with treasury leadership and finance teams to develop global liquidity strategies.
- Lead debt-related due diligence and integration of acquired facilities.
- Serve as primary relationship contact for global banks and credit rating agencies.
- Support strategy formation, operational excellence, and organizational capability building.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive treasury, corporate finance, global banking, or capital markets experience.
- Experience in a privately held, family-owned company.
- Deep hands-on experience in an array of debt capital types.
- Strong understanding of secured vs. unsecured lending.
- Proven ability to independently lead negotiations with sophisticated lenders
- Preferred MBA or other advanced degree.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or CTP would be advantageous.
- Experience in food, agriculture, or other asset-intensive, working capital heavy industries.
- Global banking experience in South America, EMEA and/or APAC.
