About the role
- Provide customer support through installation and servicing of linear accelerators at Varian. Involves extensive travel and technical support of imaging systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation of linear accelerators and imaging systems
- Overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
- Check out and approve operational quality of system equipment.
- Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
- Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
- Interprets customers’ needs and assists in and facilitates resolution regardless of whose job the responsibility falls under.
- Installs and upgrades equipment, ensuring that customer’s equipment operates properly.
- Advise customers on the ordering of spare parts or on service requests such as emergency and contractual services.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years related experience or Associates or bachelor’s degree in related program preferred
- Knowledge of and professional experience with electronic and electro-mechanical engineering
- RF Energy producing devices and electronic cooling systems.
- Proficient in the use of Test Equipment for verification and calibration of electronic equipment.
- Basic networking skills in order to integrate the machine onto the customer server
- Customer focused attitude
- Articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
