About the role

  • Leading software engineering team for Sicredi's financial cooperative while ensuring alignment with business strategies. Mentor and guide technical staff in software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Engineering Manager in the horizontal organization of this competency, structuring strategies/drivers and implementing them with the teams together with the other Chapter Leads and Specialists of the horizontal;
  • Lead strategies for attracting and developing software engineering professionals (1:1s, Individual Development Plans, hiring/terminations);
  • Within the vertical you are assigned to, act as a leader supporting product leadership in structuring teams and the technical foundation needed for the product to function effectively;
  • Perform people management and development activities;
  • Support the horizontal management so that processes, tools and capacity are adequate for developers to carry out their activities in collaboration with the verticals to deliver product quality;
  • Drive software engineering topics with leaders of the other technical horizontals, seeking to understand business strategy and the product roadmap, ensuring progress of deliveries through the established drivers;
  • Pair with GPMs and PMs to understand the main business challenges;
  • Promote adoption of new technologies aligned with the architectural model to solve business problems;
  • Connect with other technology areas to enable business demands and needs.

Requirements

  • Availability to work in a hybrid regime: 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. Position may be based in Porto Alegre or São Paulo/SP.
  • Software development experience;
  • Metrics-driven processes and management;
  • Technology management;
  • Ability and understanding of working within organizational structures (Horizontal and Vertical);
  • Direct people leadership;
  • Agile methodologies, Lean and Kanban;
  • Technical knowledge in software architecture and engineering;
  • Strategic vision and ability to navigate between the technical and strategic levels of the company;
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills;
  • Basic knowledge of the financial market (Banking and Investments);
