About the role
- Data Scientist developing statistical models for credit decisions at Sicredi. Collaborating with different teams while ensuring data-driven culture in credit and guarantees.
Responsibilities
- Develop credit decision models that consider Sicredi's various customer segments, strategies and products;
- Implement, together with the technology team, the models developed by the credit decision team;
- Monitor, review, recalculate and calibrate models when appropriate;
- Produce studies and new proposals on credit decisioning and collateral topics, understanding member profiles, products and stages of the credit cycle;
- Collaborate with different product teams, assisting with analysis and new data/insight perspectives;
- Interact with the various roles involved in data and systems processes (analysts, engineers, data scientists and business analysts);
- Maintain the necessary documentation for your deliverables and communicate results;
- Continuously develop your technical skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Accounting and Actuarial Sciences, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science or related areas;
- Experience with statistical modeling applied to the credit market;
- Strong writing skills, ability to synthesize information and communicate effectively;
- Experience with programming languages such as R, Python, Spark and SQL;
- Hands-on experience in data analysis, monitoring indicators/KPIs and conducting ad-hoc studies;
- Knowledge and practical experience in the credit market;
- Intermediate English skills preferred.
