About the role
- Junior Data Platform Engineer supporting data infrastructure and production systems at Sinch. Collaborating with a team to optimize solutions and contribute to platform improvements.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and maintain our data infrastructure.
- Support monitoring and observability solutions to ensure reliable production systems.
- Contribute to improvements and new features on the data platform.
- Work closely with teammates and other parts of Sinch to support and optimize existing solutions.
- Participate in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Learn and grow in a supportive environment while contributing with your ideas and curiosity.
Requirements
- You have 0–3 years of experience in a relevant field such as Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar.
- You are curious, eager to learn, and enjoy solving problems.
- You have a strong analytical mindset and like working in a structured way.
- You have some knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably GCP, or a strong interest in learning.
- You have some exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices, for example through Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, or similar tools.
- You have basic to intermediate SQL skills, preferably with exposure to BigQuery or other analytical databases.
- A software development background is a plus.
- You communicate well and enjoy working collaboratively with others.
- Applicants must hold Swedish or EU/EEA citizenship and have a valid Swedish work permit.
