About the role

  • Head of Legal managing complex Enterprise SaaS agreements for a geospatial AI company. Driving legal strategies to support business growth and US market entry with top-tier clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the negotiation and drafting of complex, high-value Enterprise SaaS agreements, MSAs, and partnership contracts with major infrastructure clients
  • Develop and refine legal playbooks, standardise templates, and implement efficient “self-serve” processes to empower the Sales team and increase our deal velocity
  • Partner with the leadership team to support our imminent entry into the US market, including localising commercial agreements and managing cross-border risk
  • Act as the primary legal advisor to the Product, Engineering and Data Labs teams, guiding them on intellectual property, data licensing, and the regulatory landscape surrounding AI and digital twins
  • Support the VP Finance on corporate matters, including cap table management, employee equity schemes, potential future fundraising activities, and general corporate governance
  • Oversee our data protection and privacy strategies, ensuring our commercial data flows remain compliant while enabling the business to leverage data effectively

Requirements

  • A qualified England & Wales solicitor with strong post-qualification experience (likely 5-7+ years PQE, though we are flexible for the right commercial mindset)
  • Proven experience working in-house at a high-growth B2B, technology or SAAS start-up. You understand the mechanics of software licensing, subscription models, and IP
  • You have a track record of sitting across the table from procurement teams at large enterprise/blue-chip organisations and successfully closing deals
  • You are a “deal-maker,” not a deal-blocker. You know how to balance legal risk against commercial realities and can explain complex legal concepts simply to the wider business
  • You enjoy building systems and want to build the playbooks and processes that make reviewing contracts unnecessary for standard deals
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment where the answer isn’t always obvious, and you are comfortable taking ownership of broad legal mandates
  • (Bonus) Experience supporting a UK tech company’s expansion into the US market or navigating AI/geospatial data regulations
  • (Bonus) Experience navigating venture capital fundraising rounds, managing due diligence processes, and supporting the execution of investment documentation alongside external counsel as and when required

Benefits

  • When Sensat succeeds, so will you, with significant equity share options
  • Take a break using your 30 days of annual leave (in addition to bank holidays)
  • A flexible working environment
  • Continue learning every day through your £500 personal development fund
  • Regular social events! We’ve been to the theatre, racing around the tracks go-karting, had movie nights, watched the London Symphony Orchestra, line dancing lessons and murder mystery...
  • We’ve got your back, be it immediate access to mental health support through Spill or enhanced Family Leave for those welcoming a new arrival, we support you throughout your journey here.
  • We care about our people and want to make essential healthcare accessible and affordable. That’s why we have an Opt-in Corporate health and wellbeing cash plan (offering up to £1700 in cash back annually) provided through BHSF.
  • We want to enable you to do your best work without having to think about whether your tech will work, so we'll set you up with a MacBook, mouse & keyboard and £250 towards setting up your WFH environment.
  • Pension: with Penfold. Employer contribution of 3%, employee contribution set at 5% but can be increased (relief at source or salary sacrifice).
  • Access to the benefits of our Fora office membership, including access to their gyms and fitness classes, events and dog friendly office
  • Other benefits including cycle to work scheme, season ticket loans, eye-care vouchers, payroll giving
