About the role
- Legal Counsel providing advisory services in IT contract law and handling legal inquiries. Collaborating with management and legal departments within the DACH region.
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive legal advisory: You are the primary point of contact for executive management and our business units on all legal matters.
- IT contract law & data protection: You independently draft, review and negotiate complex IT agreements (SaaS, cloud, managed services) as well as data processing agreements (DPAs) and ensure GDPR compliance.
- Employment law responsibility: You provide legally sound advice to our HR department on all employment law issues.
- Process architect: With a hands‑on mentality, you continuously develop our legal workflows. You don’t wait for tasks to be assigned; you identify optimization opportunities in internal structures and implement solutions independently.
- Public sector & compliance: You navigate procurement law for public tenders with legal certainty and secure our external business processes.
Requirements
- A completed degree in business law (LL.M.) or law (ideally both state examinations; at minimum the first state exam with a relevant additional qualification).
- At least 3–5 years of solid professional experience in an in‑house legal department or law firm with a focus on IT law, data protection and contract drafting.
- Confident handling of cross‑border legal matters, particularly within the DACH region, and international contract law.
- You enjoy taking responsibility and driving matters independently. Micromanagement is foreign to you — you prioritize your topics yourself and work result‑oriented.
- You can explain complex legal issues to non‑lawyers clearly in German and English and conduct negotiations confidently and solution‑oriented.
