About the role
- Credit Controller managing premium and fee collections within the London Market specialty division. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Managing the collection of premiums and fees, ensuring accounts are settled promptly and in full compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
- Work closely with brokers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders to resolve queries, reconcile discrepancies, and build strong relationships that support smooth payment processes.
- Ownership of monitoring outstanding debt, allocating cash, and maintaining clear, up-to-date records.
- Produce meaningful management information reports and ensure compliance with FCA, Lloyd’s, and internal policies.
Requirements
- Proven background in premium and fee collections within the insurance market.
- Experience with Electronic Claims Filing is essential.
- Strong understanding of Lloyd’s processes and practices.
- Experience with SAP or similar financial platforms is desirable.
- Able to work to deadlines and performance targets with self-motivation and focus.
- Skilled in prioritising a high-volume workload, especially during month-end cycles.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to resolve issues independently and effectively.
- Tenacious, proactive, and accountable with a strong “can-do” approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong negotiation capabilities.
- High level of accuracy and ability to perform under pressure.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
