About the role
- Perform research and development project on HAMR sputter process to improve media ADC and mechanical performance to meet new product timeline
- Conduct research projects on advanced media developments to explore design trade-offs; reach decisions; summarizes and present results and meet design developments schedules
- Perform Design of Experiments on media designs and analyze structural media design
- Transfer new product process into mass production and continue improve process to meet customer requirement
Requirements
- Ph.D., M.S, degree in Physics, Materials Science, ECE or related field
- Strong research background in Magnetic thin film media, thin film synthesis, magnetic material properties, advanced characterization and knowledge in magnetic recording
- Experience with statistical data analysis and Design of Experiment (DOE) is required
- Demonstrated teamwork and self motivated, with fast learning capabilities
- Strong communication and technical leadership skills
- Ability to handle stress and deal with stressful situation
- Demonstrated innovation abilities, good written, verbal, interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
