About the role

• QA Lead overseeing the quality assurance program for Skylar Advisor, an AI-powered product at ScienceLogic. Leading a team of automation engineers and defining testing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall testing strategy, plans, and standards for Skylar Advisor.
• Provide technical leadership in building and maintaining robust test automation frameworks for both backend and front-end testing.
• Functional leadership to a distributed QA team of four automation engineers in India.
• Participate in execution of test plans and handle complex testing scenarios.
• Ensure thorough tracking of defects using Jira and Xray.
• Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes.
• Act as QA liaison across engineering, product, UX, and DevOps.
• Monitor testing progress and product quality through defined KPIs.
• Present QA program and results to senior leadership.
• Adopt new testing tools, including AI-driven tools.
• Ensure effective coordination between US and India teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software QA with strong test automation background, and a minimum of 2 years in a QA leadership role.
• Proven expertise in testing planning, execution, and reporting, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Expertise in Python for test scripting.
• Proficiency with Jira and Xray.
• Experience testing AI/ML-driven applications.
• Familiarity with AI-based testing tools
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Solid understanding of backend systems and databases; Go and SQL familiarity is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Ability to present QA programs and results to senior leadership.
