About the role
- Senior Manager responsible for leading financial accounting products services at Ørsted, primarily in Kuala Lumpur. Focus on team leadership, service excellence, and adherence to accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- responsible for the global service delivery of financial accounting products to the Ørsted business
- lead a team structured in regional responsibility teams primarily based in Kuala Lumpur
- provide financial reporting products for both group and local purposes
- serve as the key contact point for internal customers (regional/country finance teams) especially your main counterparts within the Financial Accounting and Ørsted Business Services organisation
- ensure service excellence and manage expectations
- recruit, mentor, and retain a team of skilled financial accountants
- foster a continuous improvement and high-performance culture within the Hub
- ensure all delivered services adhere to corporate policies, local regulatory requirements, and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)
- support standardization and automation of financial accounting processes across all supported entities
Requirements
- considerable experience in the leadership of an accounting, reporting or controlling department, both in leading others and leading leaders, in the context of a multinational company
- technical accounting, controlling or audit background with practical experience of working local financial statements and in/with audit and managing the end-to-end audit cycle
- demonstrate resource planning, setting performance expectations and creating and optimising relevant KPIs to ensure a high quality of services and timely product delivery to the business and ultimately value creation
- great experience and confidence in stakeholder management, understanding the short/mid/long-term needs of both internal and external stakeholders and translate these into tangible actions and results
- experienced communicator and presenter, speaking and writing English fluently.
