About the role

  • Senior Financial Accountant managing accounting and financial reporting for renewable energy projects at Ørsted. Involves collaboration and mentorship in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own month‑end close activities for multiple renewable energy projects, including tax and cash equity partnerships
  • Prepare and review GAAP and IFRS reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity
  • Produce quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and footnotes under US GAAP
  • Develop monthly cash forecasts and perform budget‑to‑actual variance analysis with internal stakeholders
  • Execute IFRS consolidations in Hyperion and support internal and external audit processes
  • Serve as a key point of contact by mentoring junior accountants, supporting tax reporting needs, and handling ad hoc project requests

Requirements

  • hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting and have at least three years of relevant experience
  • have previously prepared US-GAAP-compliant financial statements and footnotes
  • are proficient in Microsoft Office and preferably have experience working in SAP
  • can work independently while seeking guidance on more complex matters, exercising judgement to solve problems within known areas
  • possess a positive, team-oriented mindset and enjoy being a part of a high-performing team and thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet strict reporting deadlines
  • bring a global mindset and can collaborate effectively in a diverse, cross-functional setting
  • have solid technical accounting knowledge, including familiarity with revenue recognition, leases, property, plant, and equipment (PP&E), and asset retirement obligations (ARO).
